Chapel Porth
A small sandy North-Westerly facing cove on an exposed section of coast. Launching is only possible in very low swell. At high tide the tideline is within the small cove, and at low tide a large sandy beach opens up beneath the cliffs. Launching is only recommended if you are an experienced paddler and really is only possible on the calmest of days. Access to the beach is via a pebbly slope.
Parking: A National Trust car park is located at the top of the beach.
Species: Mainly clean sand with deep water in close. Bass can be caught along with big Small-Eyed Ray to fish baits when anchored. The occasional Spotted Ray may also show. Small Turbot, Greater Weever and Gurnards will show to drift fished baits. Mackerel in season.
