Hayle
The tidal Hayle estuary consists of several shallow creeks and pools. The tide can flow fast through the entrance to the estuary on the flood and ebb so stay well away during these times. Vicious flows and strong eddy currents can also be found at the entrance to Copperhouse Pool and Carnsew Pool. The tide flows in and out of Copperhouse Pool through a narrow tidal barrier, and through a Sluice in and out of Carnsew Pool. These are extremely dangerous areas so stay well clear. The estuary all but completely empties at low tide so you can only realistically fish within the estuary from a kayak 3 hours before and 3 hours after high tide. Fishing at anchor is the safest option.
