Swanpool Beach
Swanpool beach is a sheltered east facing sandy beach located to the west of Falmouth and provides a safe launching spot. Swanpool beach also has a kayak hire centre with fishing kayaks available to hire - a good option if your down on holiday and want to have a go at kayak fishing! Clean ground predominates off Swanpool beach. Some patches of broken ground can be found around Pendennis Point and around Pennance Point to the right of Swanpool Beach. Beware of strong tides flowing through the entrance of the Fal, especially on spring tides. The Fal is often busy with boat traffic so keep on other water users.
Parking: A pay and display car park is located approx. 50 meters from the water at Swanpool Beach.
Species: Wrasse and small Pollack can be found around the rocks to the right of Swanpool Beach. Thornback Rays, Bull Huss and Dogfish are possible if fishing at anchor. Mackerel and Garfish in season. Bass are possible to trolled lures.
