Kennack Sands

Kennack Sands is South East facing sandy beach that is usually sheltered from the worst of any swell. The beach can become busy in the summer months so get there early to get a parking spot. Clean ground predominates. Access to the beach is via a small slipway

Parking: A small pay and display car park is located at the top of the beach. Toilet facilities are located near the car park.

Species: Plaice, Dabs, Turbot and Gurnards (Red, Grey and Tub) to drift fished baits. Small Eyed Ray may show if fishing at anchor. Thick Lip Mullet may be present around the rocks on a calm summers day. Mackerel and Garfish in season. Wrasse and Pollack may be found over any patches of rough ground close to the cliffs around the beach.

Nearest Tackle Shops: Terminal Tackle at Penryn and Last Stop Tackle Shop at The Lizard
