Poldhu
Poldhu is a small sandy South-Westerly facing beach located on the Eastern side of Mounts Bay. Launching is only safe in very low swell. Sandy ground predominates but the occasional patch of broken ground can be found further out.
Parking: A large council run long-stay car park is located at the back of the beach approx. 200m from the waters edge. It can be a long walk when the tide is low. Check Cornwall County Council website for the latest parking charges.
Species: Big Small-Eyed ray can be caught when at anchor. Bass may show to trolled lures. Plaice, Dabs, Turbot and Gurnards may show to drift fished baits in the deeper water. Mackerel and Garfish in season.
