Portholland
Portholland is a relatively sheltered south facing sandy beach at the bottom of two small valleys, East and West Portholland. Launching is possible in low swell and gives access to Veryan Bay. Clean ground predominates although patches of rocky ground can be found close to the shoreline towards Shag Rock south of Portholland.
Parking: A small pay and display car park is located at the top of East Holland with a small slipway down to the beach. A few parking spaces are available at West Portholland with level access to the beach.
Species: Plaice, Dabs and gurnards may show to drift fished bottom baits. Codling and Whiting may show further out. Bass are possible to trolled lures. Wrasse and pollack may show over patches of rough ground. Bull Huss may show if fishing at anchor. Mackerel and Garfish in season.
